Contract 1

Tasks undertaken by contractor are detailed hereunder:

  • Land levelling, demolition of obstructions, and construction preparation at Bang Sue Grand Station (zone 1, zone 4A, zone 4B, and zone 5), including removal of gas and oil pipelines.
  • Variation of the structure of elevated railway (zone 1, zone 4A phase 2 and 3, and zone 4B phase 1 and 2 including zone 5 at the northern and southern portions).
  • Works according to variation orders include construction in the area of permanent stabling yard for freight train, demolition of existing railway tracks at Bang Sue Grand Station, removal of existing railway tracks for construction of temporary stabling yard for freight train, removal of signaling cable, provision of lighting for roads at the area of stabling yard, replacement of cast-in-situ bored piles with precast driven piles, construction of access road to MRT station at the Grand Station, installation of electrical safety system, provision of earthing and bonding for the foundation construction, provision of lighting at BS7 road and removal of the BMA’s traffic equipment at the area of the Northern Bus Terminal on Terd Damri Road.
  • Construction preparation at the northern and southern portions of the Grand Station (zone 1), basement for railway tracks installation (zone 3, 4A, and 5), construction of access road (zone 2, 5, and 7), local road (zone 4A, 4B, and 5), and road for material transport (zone 6 and 7).
  • Excavation and drainage work, earth filling work, and testing for installation of railway tracks in zone 3 and excavation at the area of daily maintenance depot.
  • Excavation, land levelling, and construction of temporary platform for underground floors of the Grand Station building (gridline 18-20/H-F & 6-20/E, 4-5A-H).
  • Backfill and installation of concrete slabs for foundation works (1st floor) at gridline 6-18/A–D; 6, 15/H-E.
  • Driven pile work for the construction of underground floors of the Grand Station (gridline 4-5A-D; 18H-F; 19-20E; 1-5H-E), access road to station building (gridline 6-12), train station area at the Grand Station (gridline 12-19 at the eastern/western portion), road flyover area at CT train maintenance depot area (basic system workshops and new stabling yards of commuter train), and long-distant maintenance depot (passenger terminal/diesel engine maintenance depot and daily maintenance depot), including elevated railway in zone 4A phase 3 (at the central portion) and zone 1 (at the southern portion).
  • Foundation works of the Grand Station (gridline 9-20H-E; 4-5, 18, 20A-D).
  • Pile driving work for underground floors of the Grand Station (gridline 6-20H-E; 18,20A-D), train station area (gridline 12-19E), and road flyover in new stabling yards and basic system workshops in the CT train maintenance depot, including long-distant maintenance depot.
  • Installation of columns, piles, and beams for the construction of flyover at the Grand Station.
  • Backfill at the Grand Station (gridline 6-16A-D; 6-15H-E).
  • Foundation works of the Grand Station (gridline 9-16A-D; 9-15H-E).
  • Installation of columns and beams No. GB1-GB3 including electrical grounding systems for basic system workshops at CT train maintenance depot area.
  • Installation of electrical grounding systems for CT train maintenance depot.
  • Installation of structural columns at grade beams and ground beams at the area of daily maintenance depot.
  • Installation of stairs at CT train maintenance depot area.
  • Demolition of Hopewell’s 5 structural columns and concrete flyover in zone 4A, demolition of portal frames in phase 2 (zone 4B), demolition of Hopewell structures in zone 5 phase 3 at the northern portion.
  • Embankment work for site access road (zone 2, 5, and 7 phase 2 at the south portion) and roadway embankment in construction site (zone 6 phase 1 and zone 7 phase 1) including local road (zone 4A phase 2 at the western portion).
  • Construction of drainage system for access road (zone 2, 5 and installation of U-drain in zone 7) and for local road (zone 4A).
  • Preparation and traffic management during the removal of existing railway tracks in zone 4A phase 1 and 2 and zone 5 phase 3 at the northern portion, preparation for the construction of local road (zone 4A, 4B, and 5) and site access road (zone 2, 3, 5, and 7) including roadway for internal transportation (zone 6 and 7).
  • Installation of survey points for the construction of road flyover in the Grand Station construction site, maintenance depots, basic system workshops, and new stabling yards (at CT train maintenance depot).
  • Basement for the installation of railway tracks (zone 4A phase 1 and 2), for the construction of site access road (zone 2 and 7 phase 2 at the southern portion), for the construction of stabling yards at CT train maintenance depot and long-distant maintenance depot for material transport (zone 6 phase 1) and for the construction of local road (zone 4A).
  • Basement for the construction of site access road (zone 2 and 7) and local road (zone 4A).
  • Subbase and basement for the construction of local road (zone 4A) and site access road (zone 7).
  • Construction of precast concrete columns and segments for the construction of the Grand Station.
  • Installation of oil pipeline of FPT.
  • Connection of oil pipeline of FPT.

           Other activities were indicated in the Index. Accumulative progress of complete task is 17.87% from the planned target of 32.72%, or 14.85% behind the schedule.

Tasks undertaken by contractor are detailed hereunder:
  • Maintenance work and traffic management for temporary diversions at foundation piles No. 317-371 and for temporary access road (Sta. 25+232.5 to Sta. 29+124), measurement work and mitigation of environmental impact, and environmental public relations, including procurement and maintenance of traffic equipment.
  • Relocation of infrastructural amenities belonged to the MWA, MEA, and TOT.
  • Demolition of structures and buildings such as the upper part of at-grade concrete slabs and transition point of at-grade railway bridge at Sta. 29+145.
  • Installation of bored piles (for piles No. 297-328(L&R), 343-376 (R/L), 377-430, 470-446, 504-489, and 529A-505) for elevated railways.
  • Installation of structures for elevated railways including foundation works (columns No. 025-033 R/L, 166-199, 200-211L, 229-235L, 236-265, 275-279, 280-296, 377-430, 470-447 R/L), installation of structural columns (lower columns No. 044-053 (L&R), 054-078, 97-131, 237-266 and 280-296), and cast-in-situ reinforced beams (lower part of the superstructure No. 054-078, 97-131, 237-266, and 280-296).
  • Installation of viaduct box girder (for piles No. 165-099).
